truth vs treason

Helmuth Hubener in the book "The Boy Who Dared" spoke out against the Nazis that invaded Germany. Helmuth had two specific choices, go along with the Nazis and Hitler and follow what they say or do the right thing and speak out against everything wrong they did. He decided to speak out against Hitler and take all the consequences that would come with that. Even with a penalty of death hanging over his head he still had the guts to say what was right. In the book Helmuth begins to distribute pamphlets that he wrote himself around the public libraries and parks and even telephone booths. He even starts to put pamphlets into peoples coat pockets when there not looking. I can't even imagine all the struggles he had to go through. He was truly a brave and courageous person for doing all of this. There was no freedom of speech for Germany at this time. If anyone disagreed with what someone said then it would be considered treason and they would either go to jail for along time or get put with a death penalty. The truth definitely outweighed treason in Helmuth's opinion.

I have chosen these links to help you better understand the whole entire book. Some links were about Jews and what they believe in and others were about the Nazis and why they blamed the Jews. I also decided to give a link to a Helmuth Hubener and an Adolf Hitler page so you can understand who they both where. I showed a link to a couple World War II sites so you can also understand some of the other events that were happening during World War II. Each one of this links gives the reader a way better understanding of each of the topics that are brought up in this book.
